Ankylosing Spondylitis

Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the spine region, reduces spine flexibility, and damages the overall posture. It is one of the most under-diagnosed conditions and affects genetically susceptible individuals that are Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA)- B27 positive. HLA-B27 and its subtypes are found frequently in >90% of AS patients in India.
