Lung Cancer

Lung cancer or lung carcinoma is the presence of a malignant tumor within the lung whose origins could include genetic damages to the DNA cells in the airways exacerbated by smoking (tobacco or other known carcinogens) or continued inhalation of harmful chemicals. If left untreated, besides the increase of the tumor and associated difficulties in breathing, it increases the risk of the cancer spreading to other organs.
